SUMMARY:Dickens on the Square - A Magical Holiday
DESCRIPTION:The 27TH annual Dickens on the Square will be held Friday\, December 3rd and Saturday\, December 4th in historic downtown Macomb. City officials have met with the McDonough County Health Department for guidance in making this year’s event safe and successful. Complete with all of your favorites\, including horse-drawn trolley rides\, living windows\, festival of trees\, children’s shopping mall\, Santa visits\, strolling carolers\, Victorian characters and much more! This year’s event will also feature live reindeer sleigh rides for children\, and a holiday light show in Chandler Park. DESCRIPTION:TICKETS ON SALE NOVEMBER 15!! Introducing the North Pole Village\, sponsored by Cory Clem\, Edward Jones! This family event immerses children in the fun and magic of the North Pole. Families will travel throughout our village\, stopping at the Mail Room to write a letter to Santa\, the Library\, where they will enjoy a special Christmas book\, read by a surprise guest reader\, and then select their own book to take home. The Stables will provide a Make-Your-Own Reindeer mix- to help guide Santa’s sleigh on Christmas Eve. Continue through the Village to the Workshop\, where they will make a special ornament for the tree\, stop at the Bakery to frost a special cookie (you can freeze for Santa or enjoy right away!)\, and wrap up your travels with a visit to Santa! Lots of fun photo opportunities throughout! Funds raised at this event will support the McDonough County United Way’s Imagination Book Club- providing books to children in our community who most need them! DESCRIPTION:Tickets Now On Sale! \nThe Annual Holiday Festival of Choirs\, featuring performances for the Macomb and\nWIU community will present two performances of beautiful and inspirational holiday\nthemed choral and instrumental music. The concert features Western Illinois School of\nMusic ensembles and many special guests from the WIU\, Macomb\, and surrounding communities.\nAudience members will join us in a carol sing-along including our traditional singing of\n“Hallelujah Chorus” from Handel’s Messiah.
