SUMMARY:44th International Bazaar
DESCRIPTION:Travel the world at the 44th International Bazaar on Saturday\, March 4 from 5 – 10 p.m. in the University Grand Ballroom at the Western Illinois University Macomb Campus. \nParticipants can visit booths that represent countries from all over the world.  There\, they can get their “passport” stamped and sample authentic cuisine ranging from $1.00 to $2.50 per item. There will be non-stop entertainment including world music\, performances by students\, and a fashion show displaying beautiful traditional clothing. \nOther highlights will be a Kids Craft Corner from 5-8 p.m. and an International Marketplace for purchasing souvenirs and goods from all over the globe. \nAdmission is $5 for the public\, $2 for students with a valid WIU ID\, and $2 for youth ages 5-12.  Children 4 and under are free. \nThe International Bazaar is sponsored by Western’s International Friendship Club and the Center for International Studies. \nFor more information\, visit www.wiu.edu/internationalbazaar or email CIS-Activities@wiu.edu.

DESCRIPTION:20th Annual Maple Syrup Festival\n10 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. &\nLion’s Club Pancake Breakfast\n7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. –\nSaturday\, March 4\, 2017 – \nOn Saturday\, March 4th from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. the 20th annual Maple Syrup Festival will be held at Argyle Lake State Park. Individuals attending the festival will experience the tapping of the maple trees\, collection of the sap\, boiling down of sap into syrup\, and a taste of the finished product. Tours to collect sap at the maple grove will depart regularly and several children’s activities will be ongoing throughout the day. This event is being sponsored through the cooperative efforts of the Friends of Argyle Lake State Park and park staff. The Colchester Lion’s Club will be hosting a pancake breakfast at 207 S. Fulton St. in Colchester from 7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in conjunction with this event. Free refreshments will be provided by Macomb Morning Rotary and Friends of Argyle will have maple syrup for sale at the event.
