SUMMARY:International Friendship Ride
DESCRIPTION:Come ride through the corn fields and pasturelands of McDonough County IL. Campus Students for Christ invites you to participate in their first annual bike ride to support their bicycle ministry on the campus of Western Illinois University. The bicycle ministry exists to help serve\, encourage\, and support international students at Western Illinois University. On Saturday July 22nd the ride will start and finish at Maple Avenue Christian Church on the south edge of Macomb and take you southwest of town to enjoy hills\, hollers\, and flat land just outside of town. There will be 2 separate distances for the ride: ~10 mile (easy) and ~30 mile (moderate). Families and beginners will be strongly recommended for the 10 mile ride while more advanced riders will be using the 30 mile route. The 10 mile trek will be for beginners with a few small hills but mainly flat easy riding\, while the 30 mile route will be much more challenging with many hills to climb as you circle your way out of town and back. On your trip you may see an Amish owned farm or maybe a horse and buggy on the road\, plenty of corn and cattle\, all while enjoying the fresh smells of country life in the Midwest. So come enjoy a morning ride with us in Macomb\, Illinois then let us know how we did so we can make it better for your return trip in 2018!!
