During the classes\, your instructor will explain the stages of labor: Latent\, Active\, Transition\, and Expulsion (L.A.T.E.). They will incorporate not only breathing and relaxation techniques\, but will teach you various labor positions to help make each phase of labor as manageable as possible. Our instructors are experienced OB nurses at MDH with more than 60 years of nursing experience between them. They are skilled at helping women cope with the challenges of labor\, and they will use humor to make this a fun class for you and your support person. SUMMARY:Flu Shot Clinic
DESCRIPTION:The single best way to protect against the flu is to get vaccinated each year. McDonough District Hospital Home Health Care is sponsoring several community flu shot clinics at various locations. \nTuesday\, October 10\n10:30-11:30AM\nIndustry Senior Center\n103 N. Downen St\, Industry \nThis year’s flu vaccine is quadrivalent\, covering four strains of the flu virus\, including H1N1. A doctor’s order is not required to receive a flu shot. MDH will offer flu shots to anyone 18 years of age or older. Anyone under the age of 18 should contact their primary care provider. Participants are asked to wear a short sleeve shirt as all shots are given in the upper arm. \nThere is no out-of-pocket charge to the Medicare Part B recipient. Persons with Medicare Part B must present their Medicare card\, and MDH will bill for this service. The flu shot is $30 for all other persons. Participants may pay with cash\, check\, or credit card\, including Mastercard\, Visa and Discover. \nFor more information about the MDH Home Health Care sponsored community flu shot clinics\, go to “Classes & Events” on the MDH website or call MDH Home Health Care at (309) 836-1544.

SUMMARY:2017 Paddling Tours of Lake Argyle
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, July 1st – 10am & 1pm\nSaturday\, August 19th – 10am & 1pm\nSaturday\, September 9th – 10am & 1pm\nSaturday\, October 7th – 10am & 1pm\nJoin us for a morning or afternoon of paddling and enjoying nature on beautiful Lake Argyle. Kayaks\, paddle boards\, paddles\, and life jackets are being provided by the Friends of Argyle. Ten kayaks and four paddle boards are available\, so space is limited to the first 14 people to register for each tour. Tours are being offered two times each day and each program will be about 2 hours. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Meet at the parking area near the concession for this program.
