DESCRIPTION:Join us at Lakeview Nature Area for our annual Prairie Egg Hunt! Eight ceramic eggs with accompanying spring-themed nature facts are placed throughout the prairie for you to discover and explore! \n  \nThis FREE\, self-guided outdoor event is open to visitors every day from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm beginning on April 1 through April 30. We can’t wait to see you in the prairie this spring! Parking is available in the lot near the Nature Center when the main entrance gate is open or to the left/right of the gate when it is closed. Boots and tick repellent spray are recommended. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a relaxing and educational walking tour through the Macomb Park District’s Lakeview Nature Area! This outdoor tour will explore the history\, biodiversity\, and some of our favorite winter sights. \n  \nThis tour will also include a stop at the Lakeview Nature Area Community Apiary and we’ll even enjoy a taste harvested honey! We’re excited to share this beautiful landscape and help you notice the seasonal rhythm that make this Nature Area so magical! We encourage you to wear comfortable walking shoes and weather appropriate clothing.
