DESCRIPTION:Andrea Kastner “Walking Distance \nOn View: February 10 – March 27\, 2026 \nReception: Tuesday\, February 10\, 4:30-6:00 pm \nUniversity Art Gallery \nWestern Illinois University \nMacomb\, Illinois \n  \nCanadian artist\, Andrea Kastner\, will have her solo exhibition\, “Walking Distance”\, on display February 10 through March 27 at the Western Illinois University Art Gallery. \n  \nAn opening reception for the artist will be held Tuesday\, February 10\, 4:30-6:00 p.m. The artist will speak about her work at 5:00 pm. \n  \nAndrea Kastner is a Canadian painter living and working in Binghamton\, New York. Her work focuses on the overlooked corners of urban spaces and the sacred nature of rejected things. She has participated in residencies at the Banff Centre for the Arts\, the Vermont Studio Center\, Governor’s Island\, Klondike Institute of Art & Culture\, and The Haliburton School of Art. \n  \nAdmission is free and open to the public. \n  \nParking will be allowed near the gallery starting at 4:00 p.m. on the day of the reception.
