The Blind Swine Speakeasy

September 7, 2018 @ 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm

In the 1920s rural speakeasies were called The Blind Pig.  Live pigs which were readily available were used as an attraction to provide a cover for the illegal serving of liquor. At The Blind Swine, we are working to be historically accurate and have invited a local hog producer to show off their most recent herd of pigs. Much like the speakeasies of the 1920s, Hy-Vee catering will provide the spirits –for a price.

Musical act: Nathan Taylor Trio, featuring Nathan Taylor on guitar and vocals, Larry Harms on clarinet and Saxophone, Tom Stoner on trumpet.
