LIFE Course: Safety Assessment of Your Home

Is your home a safety hazard for you, your family, or your guests? Learn how to re-organize your home for daily living to allow for various physical limitations that might occur due to illness, injury, or simply age. Staff from the MDH Rehabilitation Services will offer practical and interesting modifications that will help prevent falls and make daily living safer and more enjoyable.

Cost: $5

Online registration is available at www.wiu.edu/life. L.I.F.E. is an organization dedicated to providing high-quality, low-cost, and enjoyable adult-education experiences. The Macomb L.I.F.E. program, organized by the Western Illinois University Study Abroad Department, is affiliated with the national organization, Road Scholar: Elderhostel Institute Network (EIN). It is independently administered by area residents who develop the courses, select the teachers, establish the fees, and promote the curriculum.
