Art, Wind & Fire

The Art, Wind & Fire Festival is a weekend long event featuring The Gazebo Art Festival, The Kites Fest and Macomb’s annual Balloon Rally.
The Gazebo Art Festival, named for the historic structure that resides in the middle of Macomb’s Chandler Park where the event is held, is an annual juried art sale that celebrates local and regional artists. The festival presents original works of art in painting, sculpture, photography, jewelry, ceramics, fiber art and many other mediums.
Our annual Kites Fest, held at Macomb’s Veterans Park, features a Giant Kite Show, Kite Ballets, a Candy Drop, Kite Making, Kite Fights and so much more. Bring the kids, some lawn chairs and blankets, sunscreen, a camera and join us for a fun time with the whole family!
The Balloon Rally is traditionally on the campus of Western Illinois University, Vince Grady Field. Balloonists come to Macomb to blow off a little hot air and display their magnificent balloons both in flights and during the balloon glow. Plenty of food is available for everyone. Handicap accessible. Come out and have a great time!
