Adventures in Clay: Characters, Narratives, and the imagination
Ages 7-14
what narratives capture and inspire you? Do you have characters or imaginary worlds you’ve developed and want to bring to life? This 5 week course is dedicated to exploring the sculptural potential of clay through various handbuilding techniques and is open to young artists of all skill levels. Creative making will begin with significant sculptural forms, figures, and objects that inhabit the world you want to inagine through clay. this course will also focus on diverse surface design techniques that will add exciting textures, colors, and details to your work. what stories will you tell? Class fee includes clay, glazes, use of tools and brushes, bisque and glaze kiln firings, and weekly open studio hours.
