SCHOOL OF ROCK
The WIU College of Fine Arts and Communication and the Department of Theatre and Dance announces the SummerStage performance of SCHOOL OF ROCK.
The School of Rock is a two-act musical based on the hit movie. Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star decides to earn some money by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school where he turns a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping rock band.
The show is directed by Carolyn Blackinton, choreographed by Heidi Clemmens, and musical direction by Nicholas Miguel.
Shows are on Friday, July 14 at 7:30 pm and Saturday, July 15 at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm. Tickets are available online July 1 at westernpresents.com/sor and on July 5 at the Hainline Box Office on the WIU campus or by calling 309-298-2900.
$20 for general admission, $15 for youth and seniors.
