At a Grand Opening Ceremony held June 24, 2005, Mr. Yasunori Terada, President & CEO of NTN-Bower Corp., dedicated a 290,000 sq. ft. expansion of the company's Macomb plant to the plant's employees and the surrounding community.
- This expansion is an approx. 40% increase in size of NTN-Bower's Macomb plant (now totalling 750,000 square feet).
- During the past year, NTN-Bower employment at the Macomb Plant has increased by 130.
- The new space houses state-of-the-art production equipment for components of Caterpillar, Inc.'s undercarriages on track-type-tractors. NTN-Bearing Corp. of America & NTN-Bower Corp. announced the contract signing with Caterpillar during the expansion dedication ceremony.
- During past 2 years new product lines added at the Macomb plant have included fan housing assemblies for heavy truck industry and mass weights (clutch arms) for automatic transmissions in highway truck industry.
