March 21, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

10 a.m., Wednesday, March 21, Henderson County Public Library, 110 Hill Crest Drive, Biggsville, IL.  Speaker – Margaret Cutler Honnold, writer and nurse. Carthage native and author of The Cloisonne Heart: a Memoir of Love. When Margaret’s husband died in October of 2013, it was the end of their 30 years together, and the end of their eight years living in “Alzheimer’s Land”. Margaret realized her experience could help other caregivers to see that it is possible to live and survive Alzheimer’s or any long-term disease. Cloisonné is a decorative work made of pieces of enamel, glass or gemstone fashioned into a beautiful design, held together with a metal strip. The Cloisonné Heart is a when God “takes our brokenness, refines us in His fire and puts us back together in a beautiful pattern, bound by the gold of his love.” Margaret was married after high school and went to nursing school later, after her children were in school, earning a two-year nursing degree in 1975. She worked in hospitals and earned her bachelors in community health education in 1981 from Eastern Illinois University.
